Hello all! I am Spud (or alternatively "Spudddd" or just "ddddd"), and I am a mid-twenties Brit who has just finished a PhD and started "real" work.

I have been playing Twilight Struggle ever since a close friend recommended it (based on its BGG rating). Since then I have played 20+ games (always against the same opponent), and so am often turning to Twilight Strategy for new tactics to outflank him with. I have been reading (and posting on) Theory's excellent TS blog since its inception. Alongside tea and beer, Theory's insightful posts on the best way to play "De Gaulle" for maximum effect in the Early War were one of the key motivations towards finishing my PhD.

Nope, chemistry. Which maybe explains why I like playing SALT Negotiations (ho ho).

Har har.  I was halfway through a chemistry major in college before MO diagrams kicked my butt back and forth.

Heh. Well MO diagrams never get any easier! And I would say that being a NY lawyer pays considerably better than being a chemist anyway!
