Quagmire/Bear Trap and Scoring Cards
« on: May 22, 2013, 06:21:37 am »

I am still not 100% certain about the effects of QUAGMIRE/BEAR TRAP as it pertains to scoring cards.

1. When under QUAGMIRE (BEAR TRAP), may the effected player play a scoring card even if he has eligible discards?

2. When he does play a scoring card (regardless of the answer to #1), does he forgo the roll to lift the event's effects, or can he roll AND play the scoring card?

1. No, he can't, unless he must. A must occurs when discarding a card would force a player to hold a scoring card.

2. Scoring card is played, not just discarded, therefore one doesn't roll.
