Twilight Struggle Cover Image

Simple question, can anyone give me some information about the box cover image for Twilight Struggle?

A while ago I saw the picture (below) online, but other than that I have found tantalizingly little out:

I am sure it is obvious to many of you, so please help put me out of my misery!

I believe that is the Brandenburg Gate in Germany (isn't that were Kennedy delivered his "Berliner" speech and Regan his "Tear Down this Wall" speech?), and the man I think is supposed to represent a Cold War era spy.

I confirm - it's Brandemburg Gate. It actually was located very near to Berlin Wall ; )

Correct, that is the Brandenburg Gate with a person superimposed.

I believe that image looks to the west down the street 17 June into Tiergarten.  You can see the Victory Column in the distance.

The gate itself was actually so close to the Berlin Wall that people could not access the gate.

I was in Berlin in 2002.  One of the best trips I took (even though it was in March and it snowed). The pics I took still amaze me and some of the places I went.... well I really want to get back at least one more time before I get too old and crotchety.

Thanks for responses all. I'm sure that it is the Brandenburg Gate, which is an iconic image of the Cold War. And I believe that the man in the hat has been superimposed electronically - the black colour is a noisy grey which doesn't match the contrast of the rest of the picture; the shadow looks wrong; etc.

What I am interested in is whether the picture existed before Twilight Struggle was made? i.e. Is it a "classic" iconic picture from the Cold War? If not, is the photograph below a fabrication based on the TS cover image (and if so, who would have made such an image)?
